The GEM Premier ChemSTAT testing system is a rapid basic metabolic panel (BMP) whole-blood analyzer with a menu customized for the ED. GEM PAK cartridges offer testing flexibility for renal function, electrolytes, and glucose. BMP Plus includes pH, pCO2, and lactate for sepsis and diabetic ketoacidosis testing.

Creatinine and eGFR1
GEM Premier ChemSTAT demonstrates excellent concordance with the creatinine plasma-calculated laboratory method. In an evaluation of 118 whole-blood samples, 98.3% of the eGFR calculations were categorized in the correct risk zone, as shown below.
